PORTAGE, MI — March 23, 2010 - Manatron, Inc., a global leader in providing enterprise-level property tax and records management solutions for state and local governments, announced that it has received implementation contracts from three major jurisdictions in the Denver based Property Taxation Officials of Colorado (PTOC) consortium for its GRM® suite of integrated property tax software and related professional services. Beginning this month, Manatron, PTOC and the PTOC member counties of Arapahoe, Jefferson, and the City and County of Broomfield, will be integrating critical business processes such as property appraisal, GIS, property tax billing and collection.
Due to aging computer systems that cannot continue to meet the needs of these jurisdictions, founding PTOC officials recognized the considerable benefit from working collaboratively on the joint acquisition of a single new software. In the future, PTOC members plan to share the lessons learned and advantages created by their efforts with other counties throughout Colorado. PTOC’s RFP and selection process was extremely thorough and included both local and national CAMA and property tax software vendors. Manatron is honored to be the consortium’s software provider and partner in implementing industry leading products in the state.
This installation of GRM includes GRM Records, GRM Assessment Administration, GRM customCAMA and GRM Tax.
As workloads increase, the need for efficiencies and with never-ending budget pressures at all levels of government, many jurisdictions are challenged to do more with less. Property taxes have become an increasing fiscal lifeline for counties. Because of the importance of this vital revenue source, it is imperative that jurisdictions completely, accurately and fairly apply the property tax burden to their taxpayers. Manatron’s GRM suite of products has been designed with this in mind.
“The PTOC contracts are significant wins for Manatron,” said Bill McKinzie, Manatron President and CEO. “PTOC members represent forward looking jurisdictions with a solid vision and strategy, and we are extremely excited to partner with them on this very important project. As we continue to grow the GRM solution set, the entry into new markets is key to our success. GRM has been designed to be a national product, with the ability to cross over state lines with little custom development. PTOC’s selection of Manatron and GRM are further evidence that this solution is resonating with local government officials.”

About Property Taxation Officials of Colorado (PTOC): In mid-2007, local government tax professionals from four major political jurisdictions in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area first came together as an informal idea sharing group. PTOC has since evolved as a vehicle to solve challenges common to current and future members by advancing regional cooperation, mutual assistance, development of best practices and cost savings through forward-looking economy of scale actions. The PTOC counties’ first joint investment has been the simultaneous acquisition of new software systems using a single set of standards to more effectively support their respective business operations. The Directors of PTOC are the elected and appointed Assessors and Treasurers from Arapahoe County, the City & County of Broomfield, the City & County of Denver and Jefferson County. PTOC officials serve over 1.4 million residents and owners of 660,000 real property and 74,500 personal property accounts.
