PORTAGE, MI — December 9, 2009 - Manatron, Inc. a global leader in providing integrated, enterprise-level property tax and records management solutions for state and local governments, announced that it has recently installed its GRM Tax solution in 21 Counties as part of its contract with the MCCC (Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative) consortium in Minnesota. Currently, 22 total Counties are now running GRM Tax in the State of Minnesota.
The most recent implementations have taken place over the last six months. Counties included in these 21 go-lives are: Brown, Washington [Metro Minneapolis-St. Paul], Nicollet, Carver, Scott, Stearns, Roseau, Lake of Woods, Rice, Mower, Clearwater, Polk, Becker, Wright, Clay, Chisago, Isanti, Pine, Morrison, Ramsey [St. Paul] and Hubbard. The population of these Counties is over 1.5 million and the Manatron GRM Tax solution will manage more than 750,000 combined parcels.
"We have been live on GRM for five months now," said Joanne Helm, Washington County Taxation Division Manager. "We found that our staff quickly became comfortable with navigating in GRM Tax and we anticipate that it will be much easier to train new staff on than our legacy system since, as a modern web-based system, it has a look and feel that people are used to and comfortable with.”
"As we have gone through our first calculation cycle in GRM it has been exciting to work with some of the new features of the system,” added Helm. “Such as the ability to view a copy of a bill that looks just like what was mailed out which allows us to be more responsive to our taxpayers. When responding to their calls we can be looking at a copy of exactly what they received. We recently used GRM to generate late payment notices. This was a cumbersome process in our legacy system but was very quick and easy to do with GRM. We were able to send out reminder notices to our taxpayers very quickly after the due date had passed."
"We are looking forward to using a national product that Manatron regularly upgrades and improves."
“We have been working closely with the MCCC leadership, along with each individual County, to bring them live on GRM Tax,” said Marty Ulanski, Manatron Executive Vice President. “To have 22 Minnesota Counties now in live production on GRM Tax is a true testament to the dedication and commitment of everyone involved in a project of this size and complexity including individual counties, the MCCC and the Manatron team.”
